Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Assumption was founded by the Rev. Charles Böhm, while he was the pastor of St. Elizabeth's in Buffalo.  Father Böhm was America's first Hungarian priest and founded Magyar parishes in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and as far away as California.   Monsignor Nelson Baker performed the consecration Assumption Church on September 1, 1918.
