New Apostolic Church

161 Germain Street, Buffalo (Riverside)

and

314 Pine Ridge Road, Cheektowaga

The emblem for the New Apostolic Church immediately caught my attention, here is what it symbolizes:

Together, the Cross, the rising sun, and the waves of the sea, illustrate the trinity of God -- the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit).   Separately they are this:   The Cross - symbolizes the sacrifice of Jesus for our  Salvation (through his death, eternal life was opened to us). The Rising Sun - the 10 rays of the sun symbolize the divine laws and commandments.   The Waves of the Sea - symbolize the Apostle Ministry and all other ministries as well as the 4 walls of our Faith (The Apostles Doctrine, Fellowship, Breaking of  Bread and Prayer).

The logo has evolved since the original design used in 1908.  I found it interesting to read about its changes over the years and other details about the logo.  Do you see the overall form of an egg in the design?  Please follow this link for an in depth discussion of the history and various design elements of the NAC logo.

The Riverside church is celebrating their tenth anniversary this year.
